Short answer: Senville mini splits work with Senville wired controllers, not with regular household thermostats. The right controller depends on your unit type. LETO wall units do not support a wired controller.
| Your indoor unit | Compatible wired controller | Shop |
|---|---|---|
| AURA wall-mounted | WRD-RMTIQ | US / Canada |
| Ceiling cassette, concealed duct, floor mounted | WRM-RM23 | US / Canada |
| Central air (SENDC) | WRD-RMT23 | US / Canada |
| Central air (SENDC) with WiFi | WRD-RMT25 | US / Canada |
| LETO wall-mounted | Not supported. Use the remote or WiFi control | WiFi setup |

Can I use a Honeywell, Nest or Ecobee thermostat?
Honeywell wall thermostats work only with Senville central units, not with mini splits.
Installing a wired controller
The controller connects to the indoor unit's control board, so a licensed HVAC technician or electrician should wire it. Use 18/2 thermostat wire from the HA and HB terminals on the controller to the HA and HB terminals on the indoor unit's board. Existing household thermostat wires are usually not suitable.
Reading the temperature at the remote (Follow Me)
AURA and LETO remotes have Follow Me, which reads the room temperature at the remote instead of at the indoor unit. To turn it on, press SET until the Follow Me icon flashes, then press OK. Keep the remote where you sit and out of direct sun.
Control from your phone instead
You can control a mini split from the Amazon Alexa app or the Senville app on iOS and Android. There is no PC, Windows or web-browser control. See How do I connect my mini split to WiFi?
Still need help?
Submit a support ticket and include:
- A photo of the model/serial label on the right side of the indoor unit (where to find it)
- A photo of your current thermostat, if you have one
