Why won't my mini split louvers close?

Modified on Mon, 5 May at 11:16 AM

If the louvers on your Senville mini split don’t fully close when you turn off the unit, don’t worry — this is usually easy to fix! Follow these simple steps to reset them:

  1. Turn off the mini split unit
Use the remote or wall control to power off the unit.
  2. Manually close the louvers
Gently push the louvers by hand to the fully closed position.
  3. Disconnect power
Locate the disconnect switch near your outdoor unit (this may look like a breaker or switch box). Turn it off and leave it off for 30 minutes.
  4. Reconnect power
After 30 minutes, turn the disconnect switch back on.
  5. Turn the unit back on
Use the remote or wall control to power the unit back on.

What does this do?

This process resets the system and recalibrates the louvers so they return to the fully closed position when the unit is turned off.
