Error Code: EH C3 – Refrigerant Sensor is Out of Range
What this means:
This error is triggered when the indoor unit receives no feedback from the refrigerant sensor for 150 seconds, or when it receives a fault signal for 10 seconds. It means the sensor is out of range or not responding at allTS36.
Try this first (quick reset):
Turn off the system power completely.
Wait 2 full minutes.
Turn the unit back on and check the display.
If the error clears — monitor to ensure it doesn’t return.
If the error returns — begin checking the sensor and its wiring.
Next steps (for technicians):
Inspect wiring between refrigerant sensor and indoor PCB:
Ensure all wires are properly connected.
Repair or reseat any loose connections.
If wiring is correct and the issue remains:
Replace the refrigerant sensor.
If replacing the sensor does not resolve the issue:
Replace the indoor main PCB.
What you might need:
Refrigerant sensor
Indoor main PCB
Connection wires
Helpful tip:
This fault is often misdiagnosed as a refrigerant leak, but EH C3 specifically indicates a sensor signal problem — not a confirmed leak. Always check wiring before replacing components.
