If error codes EC 56 appear on your indoor unit, it indicates an open or short circuit in the outdoor temperature sensor (T3, T4, TP, T2B, or TH)
The LED will display this EC 56 failure code if the sampling voltage is outside the range of
0.06V to 4.94V.
Parts that may be causing the fault:
1. Connection wires
2. Sensors
3. Outdoor main PCB
Troubleshooting Process:
1. Verify Wiring
Inspect the connection between the temperature sensor and the PCB.
If the wiring is incorrect, secure the connections properly.
2. Sensor Resistance Test:
Measure the sensor's resistance.
If the resistance is outside acceptable parameters, replace the sensor. (See picture attached)
3. PCB Replacement:
- If the sensor resistance is within the acceptable range, replace the outdoor main PCB.
The images attached illustrate the process of measuring the sensor's resistance. It shows a hand holding a multimeter probe to a sensor connector, with the multimeter display reading "09.10."
This diagnostic procedure helps determine if the issue is related to the wiring.
