Installation Kit Selection and Compatibility for Senville Units

Overview
- Senville systems are semi-DIY. You can mount the indoor and outdoor units yourself.
- To keep the warranty valid, a certified HVAC technician must vacuum the lines and finish the electrical work.

Installation Kit Contents and Lengths
- Installation kits are supplied only in 16 ft, 25 ft, or 50 ft lengths; custom lengths are not offered.
- The standard kit includes insulated copper tubing (typically 16 ft), a communication/control cable, a wall penetration sleeve, insulation/non-adhesive tape, and a 6 ft drain hose.
- For longer kits (25 ft or 50 ft), the copper lines and control/communication wire are provided to match the kit length (e.g., the 50 ft kit includes a 50 ft communication wire).
- Open-box units do not include a line set.
- A 20 ft drain hose is available for purchase, or a longer drain hose can be obtained from a local hardware store.
- The company does not offer installation kits composed of mixed lengths (e.g., two 25 ft plus one 50 ft) as a selectable option.
- If you need more total length, line sets can be joined using brass unions.
- Power supply cable, disconnect/breaker boxes, and the electrical wire from the breaker box to the outdoor unit are not included.

Pre-Charged Refrigerant and When to Add More
- Condensers are pre-charged, and the refrigerant charge is held in the outdoor condenser. The line sets themselves are not pre-charged.
- Single-zone systems are pre-charged for 25 ft per port.
- A 36,000 BTU multi-zone system is pre-charged for up to 125 ft.
- If your total line set length exceeds the pre-charged amount, additional refrigerant must be added during installation by a licensed HVAC technician.

Line Set Size and Compatibility Examples
- 9,000 BTU SENA unit: Uses a 1/4 in and 3/8 in line set.
- 33,000 BTU SENA/33HF: Requires a 3/8 in and 3/4 in line set; a 3/8 in x 5/8 in line set is not compatible. If the correct 3/8 in x 3/4 in line set is not available for direct purchase online, please call to place the order.

Wiring and Breaker Guidance (model-specific examples)
- SENA/36HF/T: Use 8/2 wire with a 40A double pole breaker.
- SENA-30HF-D1212: Use 10/2 wire with a double pole 30A breaker.
- Standard 14-4 wire is used for communication/control wiring in typical setups.
- Final electrical work should be completed by a licensed professional (required to maintain warranty).
