Short answer: a Senville multi-zone outdoor unit connects 3 to 6 indoor units, depending on its size. You can mix wall-mounted, cassette, ducted and floor units, as long as each one is multi-zone compatible and you stay within the BTU and line length limits.

Longer total line runs need extra refrigerant, added by a licensed HVAC technician.
Why can I connect more indoor BTUs than the outdoor unit's size?
Rooms rarely need full heating or cooling at the same time. The outdoor unit adjusts its output to the demand, so the combined size of the indoor units can be higher than the outdoor unit's rating.

Ceiling cassette, concealed duct and floor units can be mixed with wall-mounted units. See wall mount, cassette, duct and floor unit model numbers.
Good to know
- All indoor units must run in the same mode. If one is set to COOL and another to HEAT, the display shows "--". See "--" mode conflict.
- A single-zone system can't be converted to multi-zone. Single-zone outdoor units have only one port.
