Error: IDUs Mode Conflict (Multi-Zone Systems)
Applies to LETO and AURA Series
What this means:
In multi-zone systems, indoor units (IDUs) cannot operate in heating and cooling modes at the same time. If one zone is set to cooling and another is set to heating, a conflict occurs. The system will prioritize heating mode and override the cooling request.
How it behaves:
If one indoor unit is set to heating, and another to cooling or fan, the cooling unit will switch off or go into standby.
Heating mode always takes priority in a conflict.
Current Mode | New Mode Set | Conflict? |
---|---|---|
Cooling | Heating | Yes |
Heating | Cooling | Yes |
Fan | Heating | Yes |
Cooling | Fan | No |
Heating | Fan | Yes |
What you can do:
Ensure all indoor units are set to the same mode (either all cooling or all heating).
If users in different rooms want different temperatures, use the Fan or Off setting in conflicting zones.
Helpful tip:
This is not a malfunction — it’s a normal design of multi-zone systems to prevent operational conflicts and compressor strain. Always communicate mode settings when multiple zones are in use.
