Error Code: PC 02 – Compressor Top or IPM Temperature Protection
Applies to LETO and AURA Series

What this means:
This error indicates that the Intelligent Power Module (IPM) or the compressor has overheated. If the IPM temperature exceeds a safe limit, the system will shut down to prevent damage.

Try this first (quick check):

  1. Turn off power to the system completely.

  2. Wait 2 full minutes.

  3. Turn the system back on and check the display.

  • If the error clears — the system may have overheated temporarily.

  • If the error returns — continue with the inspection steps below.

Next steps (for technicians):

  • Check the screws and mounting between the IPM module and its radiator (heatsink):

    • If screws are loose or missing, tighten and apply thermal grease.

    • Ensure the IPM has solid thermal contact for proper heat dissipation.

  • If mounting is correct but the error persists:

    • Replace the outdoor PCB.

What you might need:

  • IPM module board

  • Outdoor PCB

  • High-pressure protector

  • Connection wires

  • Thermal grease

Helpful tip:
Overheating can also result from restricted airflow, refrigerant overcharge, or system blockages. Always inspect airflow paths and pressure levels when this error appears.
