Error Code: EC 54 – Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor (TP) Error
Applies to LETO and AURA Series
What this means:
The compressor discharge sensor (TP) is either shorted, open, or reading out of range. This sensor tracks the temperature of the refrigerant coming out of the compressor. When it fails, the system shuts down to protect against overheating.
Try this first (easy fix):
Turn off power to your mini split completely.
Wait 2 full minutes.
Turn the power back on and check the display.
If the error is gone — your system is back to normal.
If the error is still showing — continue with the next steps.
Next steps (for technicians):
Check the connection between the TP sensor and the outdoor PCB.
Ensure wiring is correct and secure.
Measure the resistance of the sensor:
If it’s out of range, replace the sensor.
If wiring and sensor are fine, but the error persists, replace the outdoor PCB.
What you might need:
Compressor discharge sensor (TP)
Outdoor PCB
Connection wires
Helpful tip:
In some models, TP is combined with T3 and T4 into a single sensor. Confirm your unit's configuration before ordering parts. This error usually triggers when voltage from the sensor drops below 0.06V or exceeds 4.94V.
