Troubleshooting: 220V System Not Powering On After Functioning Properly
If a previously working 220V system fails to power on, it could be due to a power outage, lightning strike, or surge. The issue may involve the outdoor control board, which can block power from reaching the inverter board.
- Check Voltage:
Use a multimeter to measure the voltage between L1 and L2.- If the reading is 220V, the outdoor control board is likely faulty and may need replacement.
- If the reading is 0V, the issue is with the incoming power supply. It is recommended to have a qualified electrician inspect it, as a surge might have caused other damage.
*Please note these procedures must be performed by a certified HVAC contractor.
