Error Code: EC 56 – Indoor Coil Outlet Temperature Sensor (T2B) Error
What this means:
This error occurs when the T2B sensor (which monitors the outlet temperature of the indoor coil) is either short-circuited, open-circuited, or providing an abnormal voltage reading. The system will shut down when the sampling voltage falls below 0.06V or above 4.94V.
Try this first (quick reset):
Turn off the power to the unit completely.
Wait 2 full minutes.
Turn the unit back on and check if the error clears.
If the error clears — it may have been a temporary sensor glitch.
If the error remains — continue below.
Next steps (for technicians):
Inspect the sensor wiring:
Make sure the T2B sensor is properly connected to the indoor PCB.
If wires are loose or damaged → repair or replace them.
Measure sensor resistance:
If resistance is outside of the expected range → replace the T2B sensor.
If within spec and error still shows → replace the indoor PCB.
What you might need:
T2B sensor
Indoor PCB
Connection wires
Helpful tip:
Sensor-related faults like EC 56 are usually resolved by correcting wiring issues or replacing the sensor. Always test resistance before replacing the PCB.
