Error Code: PC 30 – System High Pressure Protection

What this means:
The high-pressure switch has detected that the refrigerant pressure in the system has exceeded safe limits (above 4.4 MPa). To prevent damage to components like the compressor or heat exchanger, the system shuts down.

Try this first (quick reset):

1. Turn off the unit completely.

2. Wait 2 full minutes.

3. Turn the unit back on and check if the error clears.

• If the error clears — the system may have been under temporary stress (e.g. high outdoor temperature).

• If the error remains — proceed with the steps below.

Next steps (for technicians):

1. Check high pressure switch wiring:

   • Confirm the high-pressure switch is properly connected to the main control board.

   • Disconnect the plug and measure resistance:

     • If the switch is functioning, resistance should read 0 ohms.

     • If not → replace the high-pressure protector.

2. Evaluate environmental conditions:

   • If outdoor temperature is above 50°C, wait or provide shade/ventilation.

   • Confirm that outdoor unit ventilation is working properly.

3. Inspect physical components:

   • Check if the heat exchanger is dirty — clean if necessary.

   • Ensure the outdoor fan is operating — if not, follow fan speed troubleshooting.

4. Inspect the refrigerant system:

   • If the system is overcharged → safely recover the excess refrigerant.

   • If pressure remains high despite normal refrigerant charge and airflow → replace the outdoor PCB.
