Why is the temperature reading for the room different than the set point?

The default temperature sensor is located in your indoor high wall, ceiling cassette or slim duct unit.  With warm air always rising due to it’s lower density than cooler air, there will always be a variation from the air temperature sensed at higher levels.  This variation could be as much as 5 degrees Celsius or 9 degrees Fahrenheit.

This is not a major concern and you should simply use a set point that is comfortable and how you want the room to feel.  Essentially ignoring the actually temperature sensed as it could be significantly higher than where you are sitting or standing.

Depending on the system, there may be a temperature offset adjustment that can be made.  Some systems also have the ‘Follow Me’ function which allows you to set the remote or the wall controller as the location that senses the temperature.  Please refer to your user manual to set these parameters.
