Error Code: PC 0L – Low Ambient Temperature Protection
Applies to LETO and AURA Series (select models)

What this means:
The outdoor temperature has dropped too low for the system to operate safely. To prevent damage, the unit enters protection mode and shuts down.

When this happens:

  • If the compressor is off and the outdoor temperature (T4) drops below -35°C for 10 seconds, the system will stop and display this error.

  • If the compressor is on and T4 drops below -40°C for 10 seconds, the same shutdown will occur.

  • Once the outdoor temperature rises above -32°C for at least 10 seconds, the system will automatically exit protection mode and resume operation.

What you can do:

  • Wait until the outdoor temperature rises to a safe level (above -32°C).

  • Once it does, the unit should recover on its own — no reset is needed.

  • If the error persists under normal temperatures, have a technician inspect the T4 sensor and control board.

What you might need (if issue continues in mild temperatures):

  • Outdoor ambient temperature sensor (T4)

  • Outdoor PCB (if logic fault exists)

Helpful tip:
This protection is common in extremely cold climates to avoid compressor damage. If your area frequently hits these low temperatures, consider pre-heaters or a cold-weather kit to reduce shutdowns.
