Error Code: PC 00 – Outdoor IPM Module Protection
Applies to LETO and AURA Series

What this means:
The outdoor unit’s IPM (Intelligent Power Module) has detected an abnormal voltage signal going to the compressor. As a safety precaution, the system shuts down to prevent further damage.

Try this first (easy fix):

  1. Turn off power to the system completely.

  2. Wait 2 full minutes.

  3. Turn it back on and check if the error has cleared.

  • If the error is gone — the issue may have been temporary.

  • If it returns — proceed with the steps below.

Next steps (for technicians):

  1. Check wiring between the PCB and compressor.

    • If wiring is loose or damaged, correct or replace it.

  2. Check IPM terminal resistance:

    • If resistance is uneven, replace the IPM board or the outdoor PCB.

  3. Check outdoor fan and ventilation:

    • If the fan isn’t working or the unit is poorly ventilated, correct the issue.

    • If necessary, refer to “Fan speed out of range” troubleshooting.

  4. Check compressor resistance:

    • If resistance readings are off, replace the compressor.

  5. Check IPM installation:

    • Ensure the module is properly installed, screws are tightened, and thermal grease is applied.

What you might need:

  • IPM module board

  • Outdoor PCB

  • Outdoor fan assembly

  • Compressor

  • Connection wires

Helpful tip:
This error may appear intermittently at first but can lead to full shutdown if left unresolved. Always verify IPM board health and compressor resistance before replacing parts.
