Error Code: EH C1 – Refrigerant Sensor Detects Leakage
Applies to LETO and AURA Series

What this means:
The refrigerant sensor has detected a gas concentration that suggests a possible refrigerant leak. In multi-zone systems, only the zone detecting the leak will sound an alarm. Others may just display the error on screen.

Try this first (easy fix):

  1. Turn off power to the unit completely.

  2. Wait 2 full minutes.

  3. Turn the power back on and check the display.

  • If the error is gone — the issue may have been temporary.

  • If the error returns — proceed to a leak check.

Next steps (for technicians):

  • Inspect the refrigerant lines for signs of leakage.

  • If a leak is found, repair it and recharge the system with refrigerant.

  • If no leak is found, check the system for blockages.

  • If the sensor still detects abnormal levels after all checks, it may need replacement.

What you might need:

  • Additional refrigerant (after repair)

  • Leak detection tools

  • Vacuum pump and manifold gauge (for recharge)

Helpful tip:
The system triggers this error if refrigerant concentration exceeds 10–20% of LFL (Lower Flammable Limit) for more than 10 seconds. In multi-zone units, the alarm can be silenced by pressing any button on the remote or app.
