Error Code: PC 0L – Low Ambient Temperature Protection
(For select models)
What this means:
The system has entered protection mode because the outdoor ambient temperature (T4) has dropped too low for safe operation. Running the compressor at extremely low temperatures can cause damage, so the unit shuts down as a precaution.
When this occurs:
If the compressor is OFF and T4 is below -35°C for 10 seconds → protection triggers.
If the compressor is ON and T4 is below -40°C for 10 seconds → protection triggers.
The system will automatically resume operation when T4 rises above -32°C for 10 seconds.
What you can do:
Wait for outdoor temperatures to rise above -32°C.
The system will automatically recover and restart.
No manual reset is needed.
Helpful tip:
This is a normal safety function in cold climates. If you experience frequent shutdowns, consider installing a cold-weather kit or pre-heater to stabilize performance in extreme temperatures.
