Error Code: EC 54 – Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor (TP) Error
What this means:
The TP sensor, which monitors the compressor’s discharge temperature, is giving a voltage reading outside the normal range. If the sampling voltage falls below 0.06V or rises above 4.94V, the system interprets this as a sensor fault and shuts down.
Try this first (quick reset):
Turn off power to the unit completely.
Wait 2 full minutes.
Turn the unit back on and check if the error clears.
If the error clears — it may have been a temporary voltage glitch.
If the error remains — continue with the steps below.
Next steps (for technicians):
Check the wiring between TP sensor and PCB:
Ensure all wires are securely connected and undamaged.
If faulty → repair or replace the connection wires.
Measure resistance of the TP sensor:
If the sensor’s resistance is outside normal range → replace the TP sensor.
If resistance is within spec but error persists → replace the outdoor PCB.
What you might need:
TP (discharge) temperature sensor
Outdoor PCB
Connection wires
Helpful tip:
In many models, the TP sensor may be part of a combination sensor unit shared with T3 and T4. Always verify your unit’s configuration before ordering replacements.
